Flutter and Flow
This series features watercolor paper that moves like fabric when submerged, bridging the gap between painting and textile. I work with paper for its ability to 'soak up life,' evoking childhood memories and honoring my great-great-grandmother, whose sewn creations once flowed from her lap under a lone lightbulb. These pieces are a, heartfelt homage to my roots, transforming the messy, beautiful narrative of life into tangible form.
