Doodle Blots
This series of work explores the intersection of biophilic design and emotional grounding. I create 'doodle blots'—amorphous, organic shapes rendered in ink and paint—to process the anxieties of the modern, post-pandemic landscape. Through meditative repetition, I channel the meticulous detail work of the women in my family history, connecting their needlework traditions with my own interpretation via mark making, while exploring memories of decades of work traveling to Asia and the oceans that separated generations of immigrant women.
